Commission-based Business Development Manager

Remote Commission-based Full-time Salary conversion possible

Job Description

We are looking for a remote, full-time, commission-based Business Development Manager. This is a commission-only role for a high-performing sales professional with experience selling consulting or software services to biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical companies. This is a remote position for candidate ideally based in East Coast (Massachusetts, New Jersey, or New York), California, London, or Switzerland.

You will work closely with our management and advisors to shape outreach strategy, generate qualified leads, and build relationships that lead to long-term client engagements and strategic partnerships.

Full-time salaried conversion is possible after achieving agreed-upon sales targets within 6–12 months.

⚠️ Important: We will only consider applicants with HEOR or Market Access experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, engage, and convert leads into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive new business growth.
• Lead client conversations and collaborate with management to develop customized consulting proposals.
• Represent VantEdge Access at selected forums, webinars, and industry events.
• Maintain accurate sales records and performance metrics.
• Use tools such as Excel for pipeline tracking during initial phases. Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus and may be required as responsibilities scale.

Qualifications

Required:

✓ Proven success in Business Development, Sales, or Client Relationship Management roles
✓ Demonstrated success selling consulting services and/or software licenses in healthcare
✓ Minimum 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
✓ Experience in pharmaceutical Market Access, HEOR, or HTA domains
✓ Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
✓ Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or related field
✓ Highly self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working independently in a commission-based environment, with the persistence to pursue long sales cycles and close deals
✓ Proven track record in sales and business development
✓ Strong negotiation and presentation skills
✓ Ability to understand and convey complex information to clients
✓ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

✓ Familiarity with AI-powered technologies or digital platforms in healthcare
✓ Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent tools
